We were very pleased and honoured when the Danish couple, writer Lise and photographer Kristian Septimius Krogh (www), contacted us regarding a book they were working on. After a couple of visits to the farm and many many photoes later they wrote this warm and inspiring article for the Danish esteemed magazine "Mad og Bolig" (www).

During the summer of 2007, Mario was asked if you would participate in the "Marco Polo Team"s planned trip. 

The team consisted already of 3 motorbike drivers and a cameraman, however they needed a support car to follow them from Venice to Hiroshima. 1800km - 6 weeks on the road.

The trip was for charity, in favour of the ill children of Chernobyl and especially for the children of the Orphanage of Krugloye, situated in the province of Moghilof in Bielorussia, one of the most affected regions of the nuclear radiation.

For this reason the journey ended in Hiroshima, following the trace of solidarity and peace message; all to raise public attention to the two biggest nuclear tragedies of the XX century.

Mario was joined by the rest of his family in Japan - as can be seen on the last picture in the article, where Lau stands next to Mario, putting down cranes at the Sadako statue.

Gunilla Strömgren started importing Italien gourmet food to Sweden in 2007 via her company Pinocchio.

After Linda West Eckardt's first visit to Villa Stabbia in 2004, she wrote this article for the Brides Guide Magazine in the US. Several couples took up her suggestion and spent their honeymoon here.

In preparation for her article and book "The Great Extra Virgin Olive Oil Project" American writer Stephanie Zonis tasted more than 90 bottles of Olive Oil and evaluated every single one.

Our oil was desricbed as: "Moderately spicy aroma. Immediate bitter and pepper flavors fill your mouth and last for a long time. A very big oil."

After finishing her book about Olive Oil in 2004, the Danish writer Rie Boberg wrote an article for the web-site www.italy.dk about 4 women.

Four Danish women, with one thing in common - they each ended up producing olive oil in Italy. 

Villa Stabbia is of course amongst them!

In October we were honoured by the visit of American celebrity Chef and writer Linda West Eckardt at Villa Stabbia. Linda is author and co-author of more than a dozen cookbooks including the 1998 James Beard Award Winning Entertaining 101, Doubleday.

She also co-produces the radio show "Don't talk with your mouth full", which is aired nationwide in the US. During three shows she described her visit to Villa Stabbia and our olive oil.

In 2003 all Danish importers of olive oil were contacted by the writer /journalist Rie Boberg, as she was in the middle of writing a book about olive oil. She wanted to include a description of the best gourmet olive oils available in Denmark at the end of the book.
 Our importers "Det lille Enoteca" and "Casa Toscana" forwarded her a bottle of our oil, which was tasted and judged by two professional Italian olive oil tasters (panel-tasters). Despite the year (2003) was when our oil was slightly unbalanced due to the long draught (no rain from February until August), we are proud to announce that we came third. In addition, we were the only organic oil chosen amongst the top 12 oils that were named.
The book was published in October 2004 and the Danish food magazine "Spis Med" featured an article on the book.

The olive oil from Villa Stabbia was featured in the Danish "Hotel & Restauration" magazine, in July 2003. Our importer "Det lille Enoteca" described the oil, the infused oils together with his import of Italian wines.
