Still coldish and temperatures can get down to freezing. Rarely does it snow, and if so, the snow only stays for a day or two. The vines
should be strung up by now and depending on the temperature, pruning of the olive trees starts towards the end of the month. Pruning is of course quite hard for the tree, so if frost comes after it has been pruned, it may or may not survive. Fruit and ornamental trees are pruned first though. |

Still some coldish nights, but the temperature is up during the day. The agriturismo houses undergo a full spring cleaning, repainted or touched up depeding on their state, and all inventory is checked. Ready for the vacation season to start. Pruning of the olive trees all month, then all the fields are fertilised. |

Nice weather - not to hot, not to cold - perfect for all outdoor activities. The grass on the fields is now growing fast, so the month is used to cut it and in the best of places, start making the first cut of hay for the horses during the winter. This is the best time for the horses - grass up to their bellies and temperatures just perfect. |

Nice comfortable temperatures - pool still warm. The best white grapes are picked for Vin Santo, followed by a general grape picking for wine production - red and white wine. Time again to start cutting the grass in preparation for the olive harvest. |

Cooler evenings, but during the day a t-shirt is still ok. The pool mainly used by "vikings etc". Pool closed at the end of the month unless guests request it to remain open. The grass on all the fields are completely cut, and the olive harvest starts mid October. |
