The Agriturismo

So what is an Agriturismo, or "agricultural tourism" ??

It is an working farm that has opened its home to offer rustic to elegant accommodation. 

The Agriturismo is usually a family-run operation, and guests have the option to actually see how the produce is made, meet the producer and find out what goes into food production. 

In addition, there is the possibility to interact with the animals and taste the homegrown and homemade produce

 

 

 

At Villa Stabbia there are five fully independent houses, all offering complete privacy and the opportunity for total relaxation.

 

 

 

 

 

During the restoration of the old farmhouses, We have taken great care to ensure that the original character has been maintained both in and outside and most furnishings are antique. 

We restored our apartments preserving the original materials and structures: floors covered with handmade cotto, well-worn stone stairs and ceilings where the beams show the history of the place - all part of the ancient buildings. The antique furniture was chosen to let you taste the atmosphere of the past and of the rural life in the Italian countryside.

 



 

Each house has a different lay-out though all are around 100m2. They are on one or two levels, consisting of a spacious kitchen/living-room with fireplace (in three of the five apartments), two double bedrooms each with a bathroom. 

You will find that they are fully furnished and equipped with modern facilities like central heating, fridge, dishwasher, programmable oven, fully kitted out kitchens, linen, towels and TV. 

 

 

 


 

 


During the cold winter months - we will supply you with ample wood for the fireplace. For the youngest family members, we can supply bed, high chair, push pram, stroller as well as toys and games.... unless of course they prefer to dig in the sand-pit or use the swings at the common play-ground.

There is a private veranda with garden furniture for each house where you can relax and enjoy the terraces covered with majestic olive trees, the valley and most importantly - the local produce.

 

 


The common facilities include:

-> Outdoor area for picnics
-> BBQ - one for each house and one large common one
-> Car Park
-> Laundry room with washing machine and iron (free - no coins)
-> Local Information materials and general tourist information
-> Games and games room with table tennis, "fuss-ball", croquet, mikado, boule...
-> Children's playground
-> Free usage of bikes and mountain bikes
-> Access to our growing library 
-> ... and among the olive trees, overlooking the valley, a most welcoming panoramic  swimming-pool.
