SILVER Medal !!! for the Oil from Villa Stabbia
and only organic olive oil present !!!!
which was the most important aspect, taking into account the invasion of Olive Flies just before the harvest - so shows that it is still possible to produce a quality oil without the use of pesticides and chemicals.
The first OLEA 2013 competition for Extra Virgin Olive Oil has just been concluded. It is held by the camera of commerce of Pistoia and arranged by SlowFood and UNICoop Firenze.
This will most likely be the only competition the oil from the 2013 harvest enters as the quantity harvested this year just isn't enough to comply with the rules for the big international competitions
